1985 Habitat Wassily armchair in black leather
1 in stock
1980s replica of the B3 Wassily armchair designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 whilst working at the Bauhaus. This iconic chair was one of a range of tubular chrome pieces designed by Breuer inspired by bicycle and plumbing construction. This particular model was sold as the Medici chair by Habitat and features in the 1985/1986 catalogue (as seen in the last pictures). Consists of chrome tubular metal frame with stitched black leather seat, back and arm straps. This one is in very good condition, showing less than the expected signs of age and wear. For example; no sagging or noticeable wear to the leather and the chrome is still very shiny. It was purchased from Habitat in the 1980s for an architect's reception area but rarely used. Dimensions: H75 x W78 x D64
