Hand-crafted one-off Acoma seed pot by ls. Patricio New Mexico - preloved

This unique and rare piece has been created by Israel (I believe) of the famous Patricio family - traditional American Indian potters from Acoma Pueblo New Mexico. This SMALL seed pot is hand painted with a fine line design and bold geometric shapes (including a lizard) in black and white (showing as cream) slip. Signed in the clay. There is no date but research suggests it is a fairly contemporary piece but could date back to the 1990s. In preloved condition with the lightest signs of use - no chips or cracks. Approx 9.5cm tall.
