Highly collectable, earliest edition (2000) of McDowell's wonderful book about Jean Paul Gaultier. Authorized by Gaultier, the book covers two decades of his impact on gender fluidity, social values and pop culture (including his legendary work with Madonna).

This copy is marked as published only by Cassell. (Copies that reference Orion on the copyright page were produced right at or after the merger of the publishers.) Thus, this was printed using the very first set of layout templates before Orion rebranded their catalogue. It is also marked 'printed in Italy', where image-heavy monographs were sent because they had the best color-separation and heavy-gloss paper presses in the world. CONDITION: no tears, creases or folds to the pages. The dust jacket has just faint signs of wear along the edges and a slight (barely noticeable) ripple to the top right. There are some surface marks on the back of the dust jacket. Please zoom in on the pictures, and feel free to ask any questions. 400+ pages.
