Vintage Italian atomic coat rack / hooks in metal with scoubidou plastic string in red and green

Rare and unusual atomic coat rack consisting of a metal frame wrapped in green and red plastic string / scoubidou. The hooks are rings which can have things hung over or scarves, etc hung through them. Research suggests that this is an Italian piece and made during the 1950s (could possibly be French). It certainly has the hallmark of the 50s atomic era and Italian scoubidou furniture. (There could also be a sports slant to it with the top ring looking a bit like a basketball hoop and the main part maybe a baseball bat - though we could be very wrong here!)
In great vintage condition. There is some expected age related tarnish to the metal but this is only visible in the odd very small gap between the plastic. The scoubidou strings are intact. Rare and wonderful piece for the mid century hall or bedroom. Would also work in a child's room.
Approx 99cm long 26cm tall 10cm deep. Approx diameter of 3 ring hooks - 9.5cm, 7.5cm, 5.5cm. Diameter of hoop 9.5cm.
